• Pull over safely if you need to read or respond to a text

I grew up in the close-knit community of Willard, Ohio, where I learned the value of hard work, serving others, and being part of a strong community. My father taught me dedication through his example of leaving for work every day before the sun came up. My mother taught me compassion through her work as a hospice nurse. And my hometown showed me how important it is to support others through volunteering, coaching, and simply being present.

After high school, I attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where I studied Business Administration. I also attended U.S. Army Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and later served twelve years in the Army Reserves, including a deployment to Iraq in 2003. As a Non-Commissioned Officer, I learned leadership, discipline, and how to stay focused on serving others. I also had the privilege of serving as director of the Willard Hope Center, where we provided after-school programs for local youth.

My career with State Farm began about a decade ago when during a meeting with my local agent. What started as a conversation became an opportunity to serve people in a meaningful way. Since then, I have helped individuals and families protect themselves from the risks of everyday life and work toward their financial goals.

My wife, Sandy, and I have been married for twenty-five years, and we have three children: Richard, Jacob, and Ashley. When I am not in the office, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, yard work, and watching my favorite teams play.
